Went to Buff Creek again today and did the same run as yesterday. I told myself I would take it easy today and not try to push anything. Well that was good for the first 3 miles. Then after I just found myself running faster and faster chasing my splits from yesterday. Overall I was 5 min slower (probably cause I took a couple walk breaks up the first big climb.
I did 4 workouts last week totalling 30.2 miles.
Went out to buff creek this afternoon looking to do about 6 or so. Turns out the loop I did is actually 7.6 miles. Which is good news cause I did this run in 1:13. I was kinda excited about the pace even when I thought it was only 6 miles. Turns out I got an extra 1.6 in! woo!!
Trails were awesome. Little icy in some spots, little snowy in others but for the majority of the trail it was fast and smooth and good running.
Went to FJ with Laurie and the doggies today. Did an easy loop and then came back. I noticed another finger sized hole on the outside of one of my X-Talons. I think it's time for a new pair!
So I wasn't a big fan of how my previous CSS skills left the site unusable on mobile devices. So, I decided to use a more responsive CSS framework, called Skeleton.
Now I know the site still looks like well Skeleton's default settings. Well I have a hard time thinking outside the box when it comes to making things look good.
Ideally I want a design that's clean, typographically pleasing, and easy to read. I don't want a lot of color and flashy bits.
So hopefully this will work better for the time being.
Also of note, I've updated the training link to actually display my training in grid form. I'm still working on a way to graph my data but that'll come.
Went with Laurie to FJ for a nice easy run around FJ
After the 20 miles yesterday I was kinda planning on going easy, but Leila called and asked if I wanted to do 13 at Buff Creek with her. Of course I said yes!
Snow as sugary and loose. Was hard going ont he climb up Buck Gultch, but after we got to the top it was nice and easy. I wore my Peregrines and Spikes thinking the snow was going to be harder and icier than it was, but turns out I shoulda wore my X-Talons.
Towards the end my knees started to feel sore, probably did a bit too much. So I'm gonna take off tomorrow.
Went with Laurie and Ben for some easy miles along the road following the Platt river.
We did 20 miles on a mostly flat windy road. It was nice change of pace from the usual plowing through snow that I usually do.
I did 4 workouts last week totalling 42.3 miles.
Went to FJ for my afternoon run today. Snow was pretty hard packed, but still broke through the top crust on almost every push off.
